Heroes need to stop healing pets.
Its the rangers responsibily to heal there pets not a monks.
I real monk wouldnt heal the pet why should the heroes?
I know that alot of people may not want the heroes to stop healing pets but alot would so a toggle option would be great.
Edit: forgot they fixed the exploitable corpse thing

They fixed that a long time ago, pets no longer leave exploitable corpses. And I have seen monks heal pets, It can help because I am not really a fan of the skill disable it gives you.

I (and most monks that I know) will heal a pet. It's usually the lowest priority, but if the rest of the party is okay then pets get some healing.

Yep, and people have suggested that Anet prevent H/H from healing pets/minions because it's pointless in most cases. Maybe make it so they only heal their OWN pets/minions? At least that way they're not like "OMGZ that bone minion is goign to dia! Prot sprit goooooo!" And MM builds with Monk secondary would still work just fine.
I think they should fix this, but it's been suggested a million times, and ignored each time as far as I know.

I and most monks that I know DONT heal pets unless we have nothing better to do.
But like i sais some will like this some wont which is why i suggested a toggle option.
I rarely pug and I dont want my heroes healing the pets or minions.

Make them stop doing it to minions first and make the MM use BotM more.
Who's going to use a pet these days anyway? O_O

I've been using a pet a fair bit recently and I usually tell my Guild Monk to leave the pet alone the majority of the time but use his judgement.
It comes as the very lowest priority and is only worth healing in the rare occasion it looks like i'm a tad too involved in doing something do it myself.

this isnt about real monks...you cant tell Tahlkora to leave your pet alone.

again this is why I suggested a TOGGLE option. If you want your heroes wasting there energy on a pet that the ranger should be healing then thats your choice. I for one want my heroes saving there energy for more important things.

Pets are in the Ally section of the Party Menu. This is done for several reasons. Some skills need to target an ally (and not just heals). Having to target them with the mouse is difficult, and why people don't run a minion bomber often. If you remove them from the Ally section, they are more difficult to use properly for lots of builds.
If you make heroes/hench not heal Allies, then you end up with crucial NPCs for quests/mission getting killed too easy.

I like how it works, but then again, I treat pets as an ally, and not a worthless distraction.

AGAIN. thats why a toggle would work.
People like you can have there heroes waste energy on a pet while people like me that feel thats its the pets owners responsibilty to heal there own pet can have there heroes save energy.
If we had a toggle option this would please both sides.

Did you consider what I said about NPCs? Suppose you are running a B/P build on your ranger, and using only heroes and hench. You are doing the mission Dasha Vestibule. Since you don't want the heroes/hench wasting energy on healing your pet, since you will heal it yourself, you turn the toggle off. Now nothing in the Allies section gets heals from the heroes/hench. Goren dies, and the mission fails.
I see more problems arising from this than it would fix.
